Additional Electrics

When fitting a Towbar there may be additional electrical components required. Where these are necessary they will be listed in the ‘Advised Additions’ at the bottom of the Towbar description page. There are several possible options.

(1) Simple Electrics. These Towbars require the minimum of electrical components and you will be given the option to add Single Electrics or Double Electrics.

(2) Additional Electrics. With these Towbars a 7 way relay may be required in order that your car can be used effectively when towing.

(3) If Bulb Failure fitted. If your vehicle has a bulb failure system installed these Towbars will indicate this requirement in the description page. The vehicles which have this facility tend to be specific to certain models.

(4) Plug in Kit. If a plug in kit is required this will be indicated on the description page. If you already have the kit, select that option. If not you will be advised to contact us for details.

(5) 7 Way or Kit. These Towbars are recommended for use with a specific plug in kit but can be used in conjunction with a 7 way relay. You can choose an option which incorporates the 7 way relay, otherwise you will be asked to contact us.
